Journey

Full Throttle Ahead

Racing ahead at full throttle, rising motor racing star Ollie Goethe is launching the 2025 season in Formula 2 on the momentum of a dramatic end to last year. In a cascade of driver shifts—across F1 to F3—a sudden vacancy opened up in F2. Originally competing in Formula 3, Ollie seized that unexpected opportunity, making a swift, high-stakes promotion that marked a pivotal turning point in his career. Bolstering his rising profile, he joined the Red Bull Junior Team at the close 2023—a move that aligns him with one of the world’s most successful driver development programs, renowned for nurturing young talent in the series. Now, as he carries that momentum into the new season with his first race for 2025 set to take place at the Australian Grand Prix circuit in just over two weeks, his MP Motorsport car proudly bears the KERRIN logo alongside time-honoured motorsport sponsors. The Kerrin team is stoked to be a small part of this journey, cheering Ollie on with every lap.

Ollie’s consistent performances in F3 have already hinted at the greatness to come, and with the backing of Red Bull’s elite development program, the excitement at Kerrin HQ is palpable as his F2 season opener lands in our hometown of Melbourne.

Timing is everything—and the Kerrin story is unfolding right on cue. As the Kerrin 'marque' makes laps on Melbourne’s famed street circuit, the label's collection is evolving too. The much anticipated Breezebreaker Jacket—a modern riff on the Harrington-style jackets made famous by icon Steve McQueen—is meticulously crafted in Australia from premium Japanese fabric and finished with a water-repellent coating and a custom-made zipper with leather zip-pull. The Breezebreaker isn’t merely an apparel release; it’s a wearable invitation to nurture your spirit, ignite you wanderlust and fuel your love for the open road, blending precision design with enduring style. And as we also introduce our first Chinos in Desert Khaki—a further testament to our commitment to relaxed-yet-timeless design—the label is charting its long-term vision. Building on our initial collection for a life best lived outdoors, the next phase goes beyond the beach and draws inspiration from adrenaline-fueled pursuits and the glamour, danger, and allure of motorsport heritage—a world the designer experienced first-hand as a boy travelling the globe for his father’s racing career. The latest iterations of these pieces were recently showcased by Kerrin at Pitti Uomo, the world’s premier menswear trade show in Florence, Italy, and add to our vision for a versatile modular layering system that navigates the balance between style and performance.

The passion for speed and style runs deep on both sides of our story. Ollie’s racing fire is steeped in family heritage: his father, Roald, is the owner and curator of an active and historic racing collection of legendary orange and pale blue Gulf-livery machines, including the iconic Porsche 917K - the machine driven by Steve McQueen in the iconic 1971 film - LeMans. His brother Benji is also carving out his own outstanding podium moments in motorsport, reinforcing that, for the Goethe family, racing is in the blood.

That same passion is mirrored by Kerrin.co founder and designer. Guided by the legacy of his father, former racing driver and a Le Mans win among his many accolades—Kerrin’s pursuit of innovation and excellence is woven into every detail of his eponymous label. This shared motorsport provenance lies at the heart of why Kerrin continues to celebrate the intersection of performance and design.

For the Kerrin.co team, March—affectionately dubbed “Mad March”—is becoming a month of big news and bold moves. We were fortunate enough to be modestly involved with Ollie in his F3 days in Melbourne. This year, as the Australian Grand Prix kicks off Ollie’s 2025 F2 season and as our expanded collection takes shape, every detail—from the precision of a racing line to the premium construction of our jackets and chinos—is a bold statement of passion, performance, and the thrill of the ride.
