The Bucket Hat
We’ve got a festive glow going on, especially since we landed in The Guardian Australia’s 2021 good gift guide for Christmas thanks to creative director and stylist Rhys Ripper giving our bucket hat the tick of approval.
“Bucket hats are my go-to hat all year round, because they're perfectly suited for the Australian climate and instantly bring back memories of Pop mowing the lawn on hot summer days, or going out on the Murray River fishing with Dad,” states Rhys.
“Kerrin – my pick for the next big Australian menswear label – make a very polished version, with a nice wide brim.”
Well, we’re brimming with pride at that endorsement.

Originally the go-to hat style for fishermen and farmers when first introduced in the 1900s due to its sun smart wide brim and its foldability for easy pocketing, the utilitarian style is fitting for the Australian outdoors and looks at home on anyone.
While Rhys has homed in on the Kerrin natural canvas coloured heavy-weight cotton bucket hat for his Christmas gift hit list, the same style also comes in a rich cypress green coloured cord option.
