Melbourne Fashion Festival
Months of planning and behind-the-scenes work went into the Kerrin debut runway show at the 2020 Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival in March. The Kerrin.co team felt fortunate and relieved to have had the opportunity to see it come to fruition on the night before the organisers made the difficult but appropriate decision to close for the rest of the festival as a measure of promoting community health by limiting the spread of COVID-19.
The Kerrin label was involved in Studio Edit 2 on Thursday night of March 12, which went off without a hitch and with the night ending on a huge high. As a young brand, having been sponsored by Global Victoria to show at a world class fashion festival such as VAMFF has provided an amazing platform to showcase the collection in a way that otherwise wouldn’t have been possible under the founding designer’s own steam.

The runway photos and video by Lucas Dawson Photography (scroll down to see them) are all-encompassing and the Kerrin.co team is thrilled that such an important step in the label’s journey has been captured. The visual collateral has been especially valued given the subsequent forced hibernation of manufacturing and retail opportunities due to the Coronavirus Pandemic. Fortunately, online retail is alive and well, and we are pleased to be able to connect through social media directly with our friends and followers.
