You’ve browsed the website. You’ve made your choice. Your Kerrin haul is on its way. And the unveiling promises to be just as great as the wearing. All Kerrin gear arrives in a specially developed cardboard box made of both renewable and recycled materials.
Designed to convey the label’s ethos as much as the clothing range itself, the Australian-made Kerrin shipping box is integral to the entire brand experience, enriching the event of receiving a Kerrin product at your door. Consonant with the adage that it’s what’s inside that counts, the shipping box is deliberately no frills on the outside, all feels on the inside.
The box concept and layout was designed by Melbourne-based design and brand studio A Friend of Mine and features an image of a horizon seascape by Australian photographer Sean Fennessy.
In the interests of cutting down on unnecessary plastic shipping satchels and extra wrapping, the outside of the Kerrin shipping box has been deliberately left plain in its original unbleached kraft form, inviting the haphazard plastering of delivery information and shipping stickers all over its shell. However, if you are buying Kerrin gear as a gift, you have the option to mark in the notes section at checkout that you want the box placed inside a shipping satchel to keep the box unmarked for gift-giving. The gear inside is wrapped in white tissue paper and perforated kraft packing paper. Simple as that.
